A London House of Crafted Leather

At Birkhan Haus we make leather slowly, by hand, in a small London studio. Our pieces are understated by design: honest materials, careful construction, and details that grow more beautiful with use.

I’m Eizens — the hands and heart behind Birkhan Haus.

After more than two decades in the luxury fashion world, where I ran my own clothing, couture and shoe lines, I chose to learn leathercraft at its source in Florence. I source full‑grain hides from tanneries I visit in person and stitch every seam by hand with waxed linen thread built to last.

My work begins with a conversation: how you move through the world, what you carry, what matters. I make pieces slowly and deliberately in a quiet London studio for those who find beauty in restraint. This practice is not for everyone, and I prefer it that way — it is for people who value substance over spectacle.
